Highlights
What did you take away from Sacred Heart's first Class A championship?
Chloe: "First off, Sacred Heart coach Ayo Hart is killing it. She's doing everything. She is handing out food meals. Before her game and she's coaching in the championship game. But it was a super fun game to watch. It's always fun when it's a rematch of a previous championship. ... I was so impressed by Eva Wilkerson. She just kind of dominated defensively, which is kind of how Sacred Heart
pulled it off. And Ayo said it afterwards, Eva has so many good things she can do. Her defense. She can drive the ball, she can shoot the three. She didn't have to (much) because she knows when to make the play and when to pass it. So, that was kind of cool to see that."
Who was key in earning Hoosac the AAA title?
Ethan: "I really wanna give credit in this specific game to Tanavia Turpin. She's a New Haven commit — I didn't know that until after the game — but I've said it multiple times, she's probably the most underrated player in AAA. I hope people know her name at this point. She was great in this game. There was one play where New Hampton winds the entire shot clock down, Hoosac has to take a bad three at a point where they were already really kind of struggling to score and misses the three, and Turpin's able to like just wrestle for this rebound and put it back against Serenity Lancaster. That was sneakily a turning point in a game where there wasn't a large lead for either team. So that was huge."
