MIAA D1 girls basketball tournament 2026: Full schedule, bracket and results

Several of the true heavy hitters in MIAA girls basketball resided in Division 1.

The race for the top seed was competitive all winter long, and the top four seeds were also the only four Div. 1 champions in the four years of the statewide tournament.

Those same Big Four powerhouses returned to the semifinals, but we got a new matchup in the championship game with top-seeded Springfield Central against third-seeded Wachusett. In the end, the Mountaineers could not be stopped on their journey to a second consecutive trophy.
