We're only halfway through the high school careers of the 2027 class, but the skill level in the group's top tier is impressive.
Most of these stars are already lead options or valuable complementary contributors on winning teams. They include guards who can get buckets on and off the ball. Some are wings who can run an offense or solidify a lockdown defense.
We include 10 names in our watch lists, but I went back and forth on several decisions. I'd consider our additional "five names to know" in the same tier and extend the list of candidates to about 18 total players. I explain some of my thought process in our 2026 watch list. The 2027 class has more time to grow, so I favor potential a bit more — though production and current ability absolutely matter. And of course, expect this list to change as players develop and I continue learning about them over the summer.
Here's a look at my current top 10 2027 prospects, listed alphabetically.
MORE WATCH LISTS:Â 2026 girls | 2028 girls
Naya Annigeri
Medfield/Bay State Jaguars, 5-8 guard
Hometown: Medfield, Mass.
Annigeri built on her stellar freshman season with another Tri-Valley League MVP and Division 2 state championship at Medfield, landing on our All-MIAA second team. She took on even more of a featured playmaking role on our top-ranked MIAA team, averaging 16.8 points, 3.8 steals and 3.2 assists. Annigeri is a smart, efficient scorer (49 percent from the field, 39 percent behind the arc) who pressed defenses more with driving buckets and assists. She was also one of the better perimeter defenders in MIAA and has high-level anticipation skills at the point of attack.
Alannah Baehr
Suffield/CBC, 6-1 guard/forward
Hometown: Colchester, Conn.
People love to hand out the 6-foot guard claims, but Baehr is one of two on this list who actually fit the bill. She can handle the ball and run an offense, she pushes pace in the open floor and she's already a prolific shooter off the catch. Baehr's length and mobility also give her advantages on defense; adding strength and physicality is the next step. She averaged 16.1 points (48 percent on 3s), 9.0 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 1.5 blocks per game in Suffield's breakout run to a Class B No. 1 seed and has some early offers from Siena, Fairleigh-Dickinson and Monmouth.
Tiffany Burns
Austin Prep/Rivals, 5-9 guard
Hometown: Methuen, Mass.
After starting the winter injured, Burns rounded into form to help Austin Prep reach the Class AA playoffs. Her explosiveness on drives is a consistent separating trait. Burns is a great on-court communicator and her playmaking decisions at point guard have considerably improved. She can rain 3s and jump shots when she's on; now Burns needs to iron out some consistency. She's got Div. 1 offers from a few schools like Boston College, Providence, Siena and Merrimack.
Corinne Lomax
Tabor/Rivals, 6-0 forward
Hometown: Watertown, Conn.
Lomax, who holds offers from schools including Xavier, Rhode Island and Northeastern, has the length, size and motor to be an impactful two-way forward. She cleans up a bunch of offensive rebound putbacks and can steamroll defenses driving in a straight line or in the open floor. I've liked what I've seen from her as a team defender who can fly around, get deflections and help protect the rim. She's playing up on Rivals' top Adidas 3SSB squad and has made an early impact this AAU season.
Gabby Middleton
Newman/Bay State Jaguars, 5-10 guard/forward
Hometown: Stoughton, Mass.
Middleton stepped right into a featured role on a brand-new, learning-on-the-fly Newman team and averaged 15.3 points per game. She's got quite a few tricks in her bag as a scorer with help from spin moves and a tight handle. She'll finish with both hands around the rim, she can spot up well behind the arc, and when her pull-up rhythm is on she can create some highlight-reel buckets. Middleton has good court vision, and I want to see her tap into that decision-making more along with progressing as a defender. She just added Iona to her list of Div. 1 mid-major offers.
Alannah Morantus
Cushing/Rivals, 6-0 guard
Hometown: North Attleboro, Mass.
Morantus landed on our All-NEPSAC Class B first team despite missing the playoffs because she was so dominant at Cushing, averaging 18.6 points, eight rebounds and 4.9 assists. She's a strong, skilled three-level scorer, and on a good shooting day, her range behind the arc is dangerous. Morantus can defend larger wings and hold her own against some post players because of her frame and strength. She has five offers currently from Boston College, Fairfield, Providence, UMass and Dartmouth.
Anna Moser
Hoosac/NY Havoc, 5-8 guard
Hometown: Rutland, Vt.
Moser burst onto the NEPSAC scene as a transfer and immediately torched it. She was the only underclassman to land on our All-Class AAA teams after averaging 16.1 points and drilling 40 percent of her 3-pointers. Moser, point blank, is so fast. She's an extremely difficult cover off the ball because of her speed, motor and elite shooting. With the ball in her hands, she'll use sharp crossovers to break down the defense and get to runners or kick-out passes. Moser has offers from schools including Syracuse, Boston College, Fairfield and Harvard.
Bella Owumi
St. Mary’s/MCW Starz, 6-0 guard/forward
Hometown: Lynn, Mass.
Owumi has separated herself as New England's top 2027 prospect. Her sophomore year at St. Mary's was sensational as she led the Spartans to an MIAA Div. 3 championship and took home our MIAA Defensive Player of the Year award. Owumi's unique athletic gifts helped her average 17.1 points, 12.2 rebounds and 4.1 steals. She also emerged as a more polished lead playmaker who dished out 3.4 assists per game and hit 33 percent of her 3-pointers on solid volume. Owumi has plenty of high-major interest already, including offers from schools like Miami, Louisville and Syracuse. She's living up to the hype that has followed her since middle school.
Zariah Ottley
Northfield Mount Hermon/Bay State Jaguars, 5-7 guard
Hometown: Rockland, Mass.
Ottley has a Division 1 offer from Stonehill, and I think she'll start building steam as she continues playing up on the Jags' top Under Armour squad. I really don't have a player comp. for her blend of power, I.Q. and guard skills. Ottley averaged 9.8 points, seven rebounds and 2.6 assists per game as a complementary option on top-seeded Northfield Mount Hermon. She played more off the ball this winter and was a strong 3-point shooter and effort rebounder despite her size. On the Jags, she's run more of the point when I've seen her play. Ottley has a great handle, strength and vision as a passer. Her scoring bag sneaks up on you, but she'll string together some takeover sequences.
Lucianna Parrotta
Sacred Heart Greenwich/Rivals, 6-0 forward
Hometown: Armonk, N.Y.
Parrotta landed on our All-NEPSAC Class A second team for her role in lifting Sacred Heart to a runner-up finish. She's a long, versatile forward who can defend opposing wings and some smaller guards 1-on-1, but her real strength is as a team defender, rotating and racking up deflections. Parrotta isn't a takeover scorer herself, but she can knock down 3s, attack closeouts and do some work out of the post. She averaged 10.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.9 steals at Sacred Heart.
Five more names to know: Javonah "Juice" Coston (Beaver/Boston, Mass.), Kendra Foy (Immaculate/Danbury, Conn.), Jacylah "LaLa" Goode (Greens Farms/Derby, Conn.), Izzy Kittredge (Nobles/Medfield, Mass.), Sammi Santacroce (Suffield/North Haven, Conn.)
