Our first boys' preseason All-New England team has it all.
It features five players who are each committed to high-major colleges, representing a 2025 class that has boundless talent and potential. But they’re not only some of the best college prospects the region has to offer; they’ve also proven themselves with their leadership, production and winning at the prep school level. And they’re all ready to go out with huge final seasons.
Selecting this list was not easy. There are several more names throughout the region who were considered. But we feel good that these are the five best in the region. It’s worth noting: It was important for us to choose five players who could reasonably share the court together as a starting lineup.
Here are our picks for the 2024-25 boys preseason All-New England team:
Keyshuan Tillery, New Hampton
Class of 2025, 6-1 point guard
Hometown: Albany, N.Y.
The engine that makes New Hampton run, Tillery has been the key in elevating the program to be among the best in New England over the last two years. The Cincinnati commit is electric with the ball in his hands, a high-level decision maker and floor general who is undoubtedly the best point guard in the region.
Jaylen Harrell, CATS Academy
Class of 2025, 6-6 guard
Hometown: Needham, Mass.
The Providence commit averaged 24 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.6 assists last season on his way to being named the Gatorade Player of the Year in Massachusetts. Harrell is arguably the best scorer from the region, and he’ll lead a stacked CATS squad in its chase for a championship this season.
Dwayne Aristode, Brewster Academy
Class of 2025, 6-8 wing
Hometown: Amsterdam, Netherlands
One of Europe’s top young prospects after a strong summer playing with the Netherlands national team, Aristode is one of the most dynamic prospects in New England with his athleticism and two-way ability. The Arizona commit missed time with Brewster last season after suffering a broken finger, but after another summer with Expressions Elite adjusting to the American style of play, the 6-foot-8 wing is primed for a strong winter.
London Jemison, St. Thomas More
Class of 2025, 6-9 forward
Hometown: Bloomfield, Conn.
A consensus top-50 recruit nationally, Jemison is one of the best two-way prospects in New England, a big 6-foot-8 combo wing who can defend multiple positions and score at a high level. The Alabama commit was an All-NEPSAC selection last season in his first year with St. Thomas More, and another big winter is expected after a strong summer with Expressions Elite.
Ben Ahmed, Putnam Science
Class of 2025, 6-10 center
Hometown: Nigeria
After moving to the United States from Nigeria two years ago, Ahmed quickly blossomed into one of the best frontcourt prospects in the country. He’s already the all-time rebounding leader at Putnam Science and is expected to pass the school’s all-time scoring mark this season. After committing to Miami, he’ll be the anchor for a Mustangs team that will challenge for another national prep championship.
