Class AAA is the highest level of NEPSAC. The talent, as usual, reflects that.
The class features just eight teams, but that number includes some of the best teams in not only the region, but the country. Three of these squads are in the top five of our initial NEPSAC power rankings. As expected, it was hard to narrow down all the talent.
The theme of this team is length and versatility, particularly on defense. If you were to put this lineup on a floor together, good luck getting a bucket on them. The squad includes a star duo, elite skill and shooting and true rim protection. It has a little bit of everything.
Let’s get to the selections.
Keyshuan Tillery, New Hampton
Class of 2025, 6-1 point guard
Hometown: Albany, N.Y.
A member of our preseason All-New England team, Tillery averaged 17.4 points, 7.7 assists, 4.5 rebounds and two steals last year as he led New Hampton to a 30-win season. With an improving shot and finishing ability, the Cincinnati commit is primed for another big season as he looks to lead the Huskies to a long-awaited championship.
Nasir Meyer, New Hampton
Class of 2025, 6-7guard,
Hometown: Aguora Hills, Calif.
While he’s not necessarily the focal point for New Hampton, there’s no denying Meyer’s consistent winning impact on one of the best teams in New England. He averaged 15.9 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists in his first year in NEPSAC, and should be even better this season.
2024-25 PRESEASON TEAMS: Boys All-New England team | Girls All-New England team
Mason Blackwood, New Hampton
Class of 2025, 6-7 forward
Hometown: Rochester, N.Y.
Blackwood averaged 14,9 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.6 steals last season as he established himself as one of the best two-way players in New England, one of the most efficient scorers in NEPSAC and a strong on-ball defender with his 6-foot-7 frame. The Penn State commit is a perfect compliment to Tillery, his teammate with City Rocks, as they form the best 1-2 punch in New England.
London Jemison, St. Thomas More
Class of 2025, 6-9 forward
Hometown: Bloomfield, Conn.
Jemison was already one of the top prospects in the region before he took his perimeter shooting to the next level this summer, hitting 37 percent of his attempts from downtown for Expressions Elite. There is no glaring weakness in his game. A member of our preseason All-New England team, Jemison is hoping to put it all together for one last run with St. Thomas More before heading to Alabama next fall.
PREP PREVIEWS:Â New Hampton | Newman | St. Thomas More
Collins Onyejiaka, Newman
Class of 2026, 6-11 center
Hometown: Nigeria
There aren’t many programs around that have a prospect like Onyejiaka, an elite rim protector who can deter opponents from attacking the paint just from his presence. At 6-foot-11, 280 pounds, he’s an unstoppable force on the post with his size, strength and footwork. He’s a uniquely dominant player who’s still getting better and one of the biggest reasons why Newman has a real shot of claiming its first championship.
Honorable mention: Badara Diakite, South Kent; Jalen Harper, Newman; Zack Scherler, Vermont Academy; Christian Humphrey, St. Thomas More; Jayden Harrington, New Hampton
