Two of New England's brightest basketball stars received one of the highest honors in high school hoops on Monday.
AJ Dybantsa (Brockton, Mass.) and Kaelyn Carroll (Dedham, Mass.) earned roster spots for the prestigious McDonald's All-American Game.
Dybantsa follows Cooper Flagg (Newport, Maine) as New Englanders to make the rosters in back-to-back years. Before them, the last New England boy to earn the honor was the late Terrence Clarke (Roslindale, Mass.) in 2020. Carroll, meanwhile, is the first New England native to make the girls rosters since Caroline Ducharme (Milton, Mass.) in 2021.
Both the boys and girls games will take place in Brooklyn, N.Y. at the Barclays Center on April 1.
Dybantsa, who plays for Utah Prep, joins the boys West roster. He'll be on the same team as fellow top-five boys prospects Darryn Peterson (Prolific Prep), Caleb Wilson (Holy Innocents) and Koa Peat (Perry), among others. Dybantsa recently played in Springfield, Mass., at the Hoophall Classic, where he scored 25 points in a loss for Utah Prep. He remains the top boys player in the country, as he has been throughout high school, and will play in college at BYU.
Carroll appears on the girls East roster alongside top-10 prospects Agot Makeer (Montverde), Aaliyah Crump (Montverde) and Hailee Swain (Holy Innocents). The 6-foot-3 wing is currently starring at Tabor, our top-ranked NEPSAC team. She's ranked 15th in the national 2025 class by ESPN and has committed to Kentucky.
