I was fortunate enough to see a few of our 5 Stars of the Week in person last week.
Two of the honorees come from Friday's marquee showdown between Tabor and Nobles. Angel Efosa also catalyzed Austin Prep's first two wins against NEPSAC Class AA foes.
Coaches and players can submit nominations by emailing Ethan Fuller at ethan.fuller@basketballjournal.com or by messaging him on Twitter/X (@ethman43).
Here are this week’s five standouts.
Kaelyn Carroll, Tabor
Class of 2025, 6-3 guard/forward
Hometown: Dedham, Mass.
NCAA: Kentucky
In the biggest game of the week, Carroll was at her best. The No. 15 high school senior in the country scored a team-high 23 points, leading Tabor to a 78-71 win against Nobles on Friday.
Angel Efosa, Austin Prep
Class of 2027, 5-11 guard/forward
Hometown: Lawrence, Mass.
Efosa (19 points) was the leading scorer in Austin Prep's big win Wednesday against Wilbraham and Monson. The breakout 2027 wing then posted 17 points in a 56-45 win against MacDuffie, marking the first two Class AA wins for Austin Prep.
Maysen Hill, St. Andrew's
Class of 2025, 5-11 guard
Hometown: Dedham, Mass.
NCAA: Fordham
Hill was the engine in St. Andrew's upset 63-57 win against New Hampton on Friday, scoring a team-high 19 points with three steals. Though St. Andrew's went 1-2 against three NEPSAC Top 10 teams this week, Hill averaged 16.6 points across the three games.
Morgan Jenkins, Hotchkiss
Class of 2026, 6-2 forward
Hometown: Higganum, Conn.
Jenkins logged huge double-doubles in two big wins for Hotchkiss (8-1). She tallied 19 points, 13 rebounds, four steals and three blocks against Greens Farms, then came back with 18 points and 15 rebounds against Suffield.
Christina Pham, Nobles
Class of 2025, 5-7 guard
Hometown: South Boston, Mass.
NCAA: Fairfield
Pham was also electric in that Friday showdown with Tabor. She scored 31 points to help rally Nobles in the eventual defeat, including seven 3-pointers.
