The names are flying off the board in New England’s boys Class of 2027.
As of Wednesday, 23 of the prospects – including two who reclassified to the 2026 class – in our Class of 2027 Top 50 rankings from August have committed to their college basketball destinations. Just in the last five days, we’ve seen Hotchkiss’ Alonzo Archbold commit to Pepperdine, Phillips Andover’s Jabari Edmonds pledge to Navy and New Hampton’s Stetson Merritt go off the board to Buffalo.
But there’s still plenty of talent available.
As a busy September comes to a close, we’ve compiled a roundup of some of the best 2027 players still remaining. This is not a ranking of the best prospects available, but most of these names are included in the latest Top 50 rankings update and I tried to group them by the level of college recruitment they’re getting. I’ve also added on with a few more prospects from outside the Top 50 who are gaining recruitment traction.
Note that this list does not include newcomers to the region; we haven’t had enough time to watch and track them just yet, but we’ll be monitoring them as the season progresses.
Here are 20 of the best players still available in New England’s 2027 class.
High-major Division 1 interest
Patrick Otey, St. Thomas More
6-5 guard
Hometown: Westwood, Mass.
Otey, our No. 2-ranked prospect, has past high-major offers from Florida State, Providence and Villanova, but his recruitment momentum slowed down this summer after he missed the June and July live periods. Still, he’s one of the most coveted talents in the region. He just made a visit to Duquesne, and he’s expected to take visits to both Providence and Saint Louis, with his Providence visit scheduled for the weekend of Oct. 24.
Declan Griffiths, St. Thomas More
6-8 wing
Hometown: Simsbury, Conn.
Griffiths, No. 3 in our rankings and nationally-ranked by several outlets after a stock-rising grassroots season with the Middlesex Magic, is making his official visits. The 6-foot-8 elite 3-point shooter visited Butler and Boston College on back-to-back weekends to end September, and he has a visit slated for Vanderbilt this weekend. Griffiths will visit Providence with Otey on the weekend of Oct. 24.
DJ Hawkins, St. Thomas More
6-9 wing
Hometown: Farmington, Conn.
No. 4 in our Best of New England rankings, Hawkins attended NBPA Top 100 camp this summer and holds publicized offers from West Virginia, Syracuse, Saint Louis and Sacred Heart. He’s one of the most athletically gifted prospects in this class and will be counted on as a leader for Jere Quinn in his third season at St. Thomas More.
Mid-major to low-major Division 1 interest
Josiah Adamson, Masters Academy International
6-4 guard
Hometown: Boston, Mass.
Adamson, who transferred from CATS Academy to the brand new MAI this summer, took an official visit to Fairfield in early September. He also snagged offers this year from East Carolina, Towson, La Salle, Iona, Hofstra and UMBC. Adamson was ranked No. 6 in our August update.
Greyson Pierce, St. Thomas More
6-7 forward
Hometown: West Hartford, Conn.
Pierce, one of the best shooters in the New England’s 2027 class, saw his recruitment pick up late this summer. He grabbed offers from Navy, Boston University, Iona and Air Force.
Nate Blenman, Cushing
6-9 forward
Hometown: Amherst, N.Y.
Blenman, who had an injury-plagued season in 2025-26, will be a focal point for Cushing this season. He was voted by NEPSAC coaches as the top frontcourt prospect in the league this summer. Ranked No. 8 in our August update, he visited St. Bonaventure this past weekend and he also holds recent offers from Boston University and Milwaukee.
Ater Maker Bol Meen, CATS Academy
6-9 wing
Hometown: Barcelona, Spain
Bol, ranked No. 9 in our August update, took a visit to Norfolk State earlier this month. He has a unique skill set with his size as a long wing who can handle and shoot well from deep.
Jalen Taggart, Woodstock Academy
6-4 guard
Hometown: Rochester, N.Y.
One of the best 3-point shooters in New England, Taggart's offer sheet includes Oklahoma State, Hofstra, Western Carolina and Bryant. He averaged 17.5 points per game on 42.9 percent shooting from 3-point range last season for head coach Tom Espinosa at Putnam Science, which moved to Woodstock Academy this summer.
Davon Maloney, Newman
6-6 wing
Hometown: Albany, N.Y.
Maloney, a highly athletic wing who should earn a bigger role at Newman this season after missing much of last year due to injury, holds six new Division 1 offers since May, including Stony Brook, St. Bonaventure and UTEP. He made an unofficial visit to Albany in July.
Donovan Clement, CATS Academy
6-8 wing
Hometown: Pawtucket, R.I.
Clement was the MVP of the Class B Large tournament as he helped St. Mark’s to last season’s championship before transferring to CATS. He picked up several Division 1 offers this summer, including Holy Cross, Boston University and UMass-Lowell.
Reece Ayala, Milton Academy
6-5 guard
Hometown: Lawrence, Mass.
Ayala, who’s returning to Milton Academy after spending a season at Brewster Academy, is among the best guards available in New England. He visited Quinnipiac two weekends ago and snagged offers this summer from UMass, UMass-Lowell and UC San Diego, among others.
Michael McNamara, Masters Academy International
6-9 wing
Hometown: Needham, Mass.
McNamara was an ISL and Class A standout at Thayer, and he’ll now take his talents to the brand new MAI. The Expressions Elite wing took an unofficial visit to Holy Cross last December and also holds an Albany offer from last summer.
Anthony Vick, Cushing
6-3 guard
Hometown: Boston, Mass.
Vick has continued to demonstrate he’s one of the best shotmakers and 3-point shooters in New England, and he’s adding layers to his game on both sides of the ball. He took a visit to Cal State Fullerton this past weekend and also holds offers from Marist, UMBC, Bryant and Gardner-Webb.
Keyshon Joyner, MacDuffie
5-11 guard
Hometown: Worcester, Mass.
Joyner, one of the best pure point guard prospects in the region, earned his first two Division 1 offers this summer from Grambling State and Gardner-Webb. He averaged 17.4 points, 4.7 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game last season for MacDuffie.
Fil Mozoul, CATS Academy
6-9 forward
Hometown: Milton, Mass.
The former Vermont Academy forward had an offer from St. Bonaventure last year. A stretch forward with two-way ability as a threat from 3-point range, Mozoul is joining CATS for the first season under new coach Miguel Bocachica.
Christian Chartier, Phillips Exeter
6-6 wing
Hometown: Hampton, N.H.
After a stock-rising summer with the New England Storm, the 3-point marksman has an official visit planned for Air Force this weekend, and he’s expected to take a visit to New Hampshire shortly after. Chartier is garnering interest from all levels. Bentley, Amherst and NYU are also in the mix, and he’s had conversations with a handful of other Division 1 schools.
Kyle Seltzer, Williston Northampton
6-11 forward
Hometown: Sag Harbor, N.Y.
A key part of Williston’s Class A championship squad in 2025, Seltzer took a visit to Binghamton in late August. He also holds offers from Iona and Cornell.
Avery Council, Hoosac
6-1 guard
Hometown: Henrietta, N.Y.
The former CATS guard is an explosive athlete who’s comfortable playing as a lead guard. He earned his first Division 1 offer from Bryant in February and he announced a transfer to Hoosac in late August.
Caleb Baker, Lawrence Academy
6-6 wing
Hometown: Whitman, Mass.
Baker was a massive stock-riser this summer as a lead star for The House We Built and he’s expected to take another leadership role at Lawrence Academy this winter. He’s getting interest at every level, including America East and Northeast Conference schools in Division 1 and top Division 3 schools like Trinity.
Talib Martin, St. Andrew’s
6-6 wing
Hometown: Staten Island, N.Y.
Martin was a standout for St. Andrew’s in his junior season as he averaged 18.3 points and seven rebounds per game to help the Saints reach the playoffs. He led the team in scoring, blocks and steals.
