The MIAA season is getting into a critical stretch of the winter, when key league games will help decide championships and teams are fighting for their state tournament hopes. That means there’s a lengthy list of standout performers.
This week’s MIAA boys stars of the week is one of our longest lists of the season. These 16 performers include several who hit career milestones, multiple game-winners and several career-high efforts.

MIAA BOYS TOP 10: A state title contender from Western Mass. joins the party
Thomas Behrmann, Medfield
Class of 2026, 6-0 guard
Behrmann continued his sensational season for Medfield, averaging 33 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game to lead victories over Hopkinton and Holliston. He scored a career-high 37 points in the win over Hopkinton, then put in 29 points, including a game-winning bucket with 0.6 seconds to beat Holliston. Trailing by one, Behrmann drove to his left and made a strong right-handed finish off glass to win, 53-52. The Warriors are 11-1 and 10-0 in the Tri-Valley League.
Brody Bumila, Bishop Feehan
Class of 2026, 6-9 forward
NCAA: Texas (baseball)
Bumila continued his dominant winter, pouring in 32 points and 22 rebounds in a victory over Acton-Boxborough before tallying 29 points and 16 boards in Feehan’s big revenge road victory over Archbishop Williams.
Ben Cormier, Newburyport
Class of 2026, 6-8 wing
Cormier scored 26 points on 4-for-6 3-point shooting with 10 rebounds, four assists and three blocks in Newburyport’s win over Manchester Essex before adding 17 points in a win over Lynnfield. The Clippers are 11-0 and 9-0 in the Cape Ann League.
Julian Goodridge, Somerville
Class of 2027, 5-7 guard
Somerville earned two key Greater Boston League victories over Chelsea and Malden behind Goodridge, who had 26 points, six assists and five steals vs. Chelsea and 13 points vs. Malden. The Highlanders hold a 9-3 record, including a 6-3 mark in the GBL.
Jacari Jenkins, Catholic Memorial
Class of 2028, 5-11 guard
Jenkins, who was outstanding as a freshman last season, is back after missing time with an injury, and he’s already proving to be a game-changer. The sophomore guard scored 20 points to help knock off previously undefeated Malden Catholic on Tuesday. On Friday, Jenkins scored 28 points – including 14 in overtime – in a double OT thriller over St. John’s Prep.
Jacob Klass, Beverly
Class of 2026, 6-0 guard
Klass, already one of the best scorers in the state, scored a career-high 49 points in just three quarters in Beverly’s 119-39 rout of Saugus. The senior guard hit five 3-pointers and 14 free throws as part of his performance. He also had a game-high 20 points in a 92-43 blowout of Peabody.
Brendan Loewen, Georgetown
Class of 2026, 5-11 guard
A hero of last season’s Division 4 championship, Loewen had a big week in three Georgetown victories. He scored 24 of his 26 points in the first half and had five assists in the Royals’ win over Triton, chipped in 17 points in a victory over Manchester Essex and then had a loaded stat line of 20 points, 10 assists, five rebounds and four steals in a win over Ipswich. Georgetown is 9-4 with an 8-1 mark in the Cape Ann League.
Trevor Moynihan, Agawam
Class of 2028, 5-11 guard
Moynihan went off for 39 points, leading Agawam to a 20-point comeback victory over Taconic last Wednesday.
Ryan Mutschler, Hanover
Class of 2026, 6-5 guard
Hanover, which is No. 1 in the MIAA Div. 3 power rankings, remains undefeated with a 13-0 record and 11-0 mark in the Patriot League. Mutschler has been a key reason why. He scored 24 points in a victory over Silver Lake before netting 22 points in a win over Hingham.
Sam Myerberg, Lexington
Class of 2026, 6-1 guard
Myerberg became Lexington’s first 1,000-point scorer since Lew Finnegan in 2004 in Friday night’s home victory over Woburn. He scored 22 points to surpass the milestone.
Grant Neal, Lynnfield
Class of 2027, 6-4 guard
Neal led Lynnfield with 24 points and 26 points in victories over Ipswich and East Boston last week. The Pioneers are now 10-2 with a 7-2 mark in the Cape Ann League.
Thacher Purdy, Xaverian
Class of 2026, 6-5 wing
It was a massive week for Xaverian, which scored two upset victories over St. John’s (Shrewsbury) and Malden Catholic. Purdy led the charge, scoring 18 points vs. St. John’s and then 20 points, eight rebounds and four blocks in the 51-49 win over MC.
Josh Reidy, Dighton-Rehoboth
Class of 2026, 6-2 guard
Dighton-Rehoboth trailed by 16 in the fourth quarter against Old Rochester before Reidy went on a tear, scoring 16 points in the final period en route to 34 points in the game to secure a wild 65-64 comeback victory. Reidy also had 18 points for D-R – which is 8-4 and 7-3 in the South Coast Conference – in its victory over Bourne.
Elian Rodriguez, Salem
Class of 2027, 6-1 guard
Rodriguez averaged 21.3 points over three Salem wins last week, including a 27-point performance in a 77-48 win over Saugus as he also reached 1,000 career points. The Witches have now won nine consecutive games. They’re 10-1 overall with an 8-1 mark in the Northeastern Conference.
Justice Samuels, Franklin
Class of 2026, 6-5 guard
Samuels – the only returning starter from Franklin’s Div. 1 championship team – had 16 points and 10 rebounds, including the game-winning steal and score with 15 seconds left that made the difference in the Panthers’ thrilling 59-57 win over Sharon. The new-look Panthers are 8-4 and 7-3 in the Hockomock League.
Dray Thielker, Taunton
Class of 2026, 6-1 guard
Thielker erupted for 35 points, including eight 3-pointers, in Taunton’s 83-68 Hockomock League victory over Milford.
