If recent games are any indication, the MIAA's star talent is fine-tuned for the playoffs.
We saw career-high scoring efforts around the state during the last 10 days. That included monster efforts in some of the marquee matchups of the season coming in premier February vacation tournaments.
Now the slate gets wiped clean as we start the ascent to Tsongas Center for the state championships.

Abby Broderick, Medfield

Broderick was the leader in top-ranked Medfield's statement Comcast Tournament win over second-ranked Wachusett, posting 29 points with seven 3-pointers. She also tallied 17 points in the preliminary round against North Quincy and 22 points last Thursday against Medfield.
Kayla Dunlap, Natick

Dunlap averaged 21.8 points across a 4-0 stretch for the Redhawks, including two games of 25 and 20 points to help win the Roundball Classic at Mansfield.
Manicha Exilhomme, Malden
Class of 2027, forward
The junior recorded a massive career performance, racking up 32 points and 15 rebounds last Wednesday in a 53-46 triumph over Lynn Tech.
Alana MacLean, Fontbonne

Across three wins, MacLean averaged 22 points, including a career-high 29 points Saturday against Lexington at the Spartan Classic.
Kate McBride, Hingham
Class of 2027, guard/forward
McBride erupted for a career-high 33 points Sunday to help the Harborwomen defeat Weymouth, 72-47. She also contributed 17 points in Wednesday's 57-55 victory against North Quincy.
Georgia Orlando, Notre Dame (Hingham)
Class of 2031, guard
Only a seventh-grader, Orlando powered the Cougars to victory in the JBA Classic championship game against Brookline with 20 points and seven assists. She also added 11 points in an earlier 54-30 win against Weymouth.
Emma Plante, Joseph Case

Plante recorded a 28-point, 12-rebound double-double last Tuesday and crossed 1,000 career points in the process during Case's 43-34 win against Bristol-Plymouth.
Maliah Pierre, Whitman-Hanson
Class of 2027, 5-9 guard/forward
Though it wasn't enough, Pierre amassed 30 points at the Spartan Classic in a bracket championship loss to Oliver Ames. She also helped the Panthers beat King Philip in the first-round game with 24 points.
Keyona Raines, Cathedral

Raines averaged 21.5 points, 12 rebounds and five assists across two games at the Comcast Tournament, helping Cathedral score two huge wins against Walpole and Woburn.
Jae Scott, Wachusett

Class of 2026, 6-0 guard/forward
NCAA: Tulsa
Scott was dominant at the Comcast Tournament, collecting 33 points and 16 rebounds against Bishop Feehan and coming back for 22 points against Medfield. She also scored 23 points in the regular season finale against Bedford (N.H.).
Camden Strandberg, Bridgewater-Raynham

NCAA: Bates
Strandberg's career-high 35 points plus 13 rebounds propelled the Trojans to a Spartan Classic championship victory against Dracut. She also logged a 20-points, 13-rebound double-double with five blocks in the first round against Newton South.
Zi'Yan Wallace, Springfield Central
Class of 2029, 5-10 guard/forward
Wallace scored more than half of her team's points with 27 in the Western Mass. Class A final, powering Springfield Central to victory in a 50-48 overtime thriller vs. Minnechaug.
