At this point in the basketball calendar, the vast majority of top seniors and postgrads have committed to college on the girls side. But several notable names are still making their decisions.
Between NEPSAC stars, a Gatorade Player of the Year and more, New England has talent left in the 2026 class that should pique the interests of colleges still on the recruiting trail. I've done my best to keep up with who's left on the board, from potential Division 1 players to impact athletes in Division 2 or 3.
The reality is that we won't see many more Division 1 commitments. Last year, by my rough estimation, only three New England 2025 players committed to a Division 1 school after New Year's (not counting late reclassifications). I'll note players who have received offers, but at this point, some of those schools may have already filled their recruiting classes, which makes weighing those offers difficult. A select few from the below names will get to Div. 1. It's more likely that Division 2 and 3 schools capitalize on these hidden gems.
There's no ranked order to this list and there isn't a massive talent gap between most uncommitted prospects. These are simply a selection of names I'm confident are among the best available. Some players prefer to keep their commitments private or have one imminent depending on college admission decisions, so I've skipped over those names. Here are 12 top remaining players in the 2026 class.
