
According to On3's Talia Goodman, the women's NCAA transfer portal contains more than 1,500 names this spring. That includes a significant group of talent with New England ties.
We've been following the portal activity since the national championship concluded. By my count, 32 New England natives have entered their names into the portal. An additional 10 standouts (which I'm defining as a double-digit per-game scorer, for simplicity) from New England Division 1 colleges have also gone portaling.
Every player's decision-making process is different. But we can spot a few themes in the month of frenetic activity so far.
