We’ve had a month to process the thrilling end to the MIAA boys basketball season. Now it’s time for everyone’s favorite time of year – awards season.
Our MIAA boys awards include three All-MIAA teams of five players each, Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and Coach of the Year.
Picking the award recipients was agonizingly difficult; I had more than 30 names listed under consideration for the MIAA teams, many you’ll see in our honorable mentions, and the individual honors weren’t no-brainers, either. There’s so much talent across the state, but we parsed it down by weighting individual production, winning impact, team success and tournament performances.
