We’ve made it to one of the best days of the year in New England prep basketball. Super Sunday 2026 is here.
The final day of the NEPSAC boys basketball season is upon us, and champions will be crowned. After Saturday’s semifinals, our 2026 finalists have a short rest – made even shorter due to daylight saving time – before pursuing a title. We’ll see boys teams across the region hoisting trophies at two sites – Western New England University and Worcester Academy.
The championship matchups offer a variety of favorites and surprise contenders. Newman is going for a repeat title in Class AAA, while sixth-seeded Hoosac is ready to be a stunning party spoiler. No. 1 seeds Cushing, St. Mark’s and Kingswood Oxford are hopeful to cement their places in history.
Last year, I incredibly went 0-for-4 in my NEPSAC championship picks. That means I’m due, or my picks might be just doomed. But I’d like to also note that four of my preseason championship picks that I made back in November remain alive. Let’s take a crack at the 2026 champions.
