It’s time for the NEPSAC boys basketball playoffs, which means, of course, we have predictions. We’ll be making picks for each round of the postseason this week – from Class AAA to Class B Small – leading up to Super Sunday. It starts with Wednesday’s quarterfinals, when all 40 teams that make up those playoff fields will be in action and fighting for a spot in Saturday’s semifinals.
Last season, I shot 81.3 percent – 13 correct predictions in 16 games – in my quarterfinal predictions, and I almost nailed a handful of final score guesses, too. Let’s run it back. This season’s quarterfinal slate includes plenty of toss-ups, and I wasn’t afraid to make a few upset picks – including one 8-over-1 stunner.
