More than 25 MIAA basketball teams will cycle in and out of Tony C Gymnasium at St. Mary’s during this February’s Spartan Classic.
The four-day event is one of the largest high school showcases during school break. With a slate of four-team brackets on the schedule, the Spartan Classic offers many programs the chance to tune up against quality competition before the state tournament.
On the girls side, host St. Mary’s and Whitman-Hanson are two Division 2 championship contenders who have locked down spots in our Top 10 all season. Other squads like Andover and King Philip (Div. 1), Oliver Ames (Div. 2), and Apponequet and Pentucket (Div. 3) should make deep playoff runs in their respective divisions. Though the boys side only has eight teams, that also includes St. Mary’s, one of the Division 2 frontrunners.
Stay up to date on the schedule and results from the Spartan Classic below.
