For a third straight year, New England has representation in the McDonald's All-American game.
Newman forward Quinn Costello was named a McDonald's All-American on Monday. The Medford, Mass., native joins AJ Dybantsa (Brockton, Mass.) last year and Cooper Flagg (Newport, Maine) in 2024, continuing the recent string of New England boys who earned one of the nation's top basketball honors. Kaelyn Carroll (Dedham, Mass.) was also selected on the girls side last year.
It's only the latest signal of Costello's massive rise over the last calendar year. The 6-foot-10 Michigan commit is ranked No. 29 in the national 2026 class by ESPN. He's averaging 16.4 points and 8.1 rebounds for Newman, our top-ranked NEPSAC boys program. And before choosing Michigan, Costello racked up 25 high-major offers during an explosive grassroots spring and summer with the Middlesex Magic.
Costello will play on the Boys West team. He'll be teaming up with four of ESPN's top five 2026 prospects in No. 1-ranked Tyran Stokes (Rainier Beach), No. 2 Cameron Williams (St. Mary's, in Phoenix, Ariz.), No. 4 Jason Crowe Jr. (Inglewood) and No. 5 Caleb Holt (Prolific Prep).
The McDonald's All-American games will take place at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Ariz., on March 31. Find the full rosters here.
