BRAINTREE, Mass. — Bishop Feehan got an early-season wake-up call on Dec. 22. In a loss to Archbishop Williams, the Shamrocks gave up 85 points – which is still the most they’ve given up to an opponent this season. Since then, they’ve taken a greater commitment to the defensive end.
And a month after that loss, they got some revenge.
Star forward Brody Bumila said the team got together an hour before its bus ride to Braintree. Feehan was a little extra motivated for this one, and it showed. Fueled by a strong defensive start, the Shamrocks grabbed a commanding early lead and held off a strong second-half rally from Jadon Beatty and the Bishops for a 78-64 victory on Friday night at Volpe Gymnasium.
“We really wanted it bad,” Bumila said.
