For fans of high-level high school basketball, Springfield, Mass., will once again be the place to be on MLK weekend. The Hoophall Classic, which attracts the best talent around the country, is the main event at Springfield College. But don’t sleep on the Hoophall Prep Showcase down the street.
The event will return from Jan. 16-19, 2026, at American International College. Over four days and across two courts, the best boys prep and postgraduate programs from New England and beyond will come to the birthplace of basketball for some high-level matchups.
More than 30 NEPSAC schools, including top programs like Cushing, Darrow and St. Thomas More, will participate in this year’s event. The talent features several nationally-ranked and prominent names, including Lawrence Academy’s Alex Egbuonu, Cushing’s Ryan Moesch, Blair Academy’s Deron Rippey Jr. and Putnam Science’s Adama Tambedou.
Here’s the full schedule for the 2026 Hoophall Prep Showcase, which is run by New England Recruiting Report. The games will be held at American International College and Holyoke Community College.
