The dust has settled on a Nickerson Showcase that was filled with fireworks.
We got three overtime games plus a handful of surprising upsets. Our Top 10 underwent some re-tooling. And with coaches from more than 50 colleges in attendance, Nickerson served as the must-scout event of the prep regular season.
I watched as much basketball as I could. I tried to stick to the end of competitive matchups vs. blowouts, regardless of class. Even then, I had to miss some great games. I took in Hamden Hall's Saturday evening overtime win against Newman... which means I missed Governor's stunning comeback against Berkshire. Then Sunday, I stuck out Nobles' big victory against New Hampton – which meant little-to-no time watching Tabor beat Northfield Mount Hermon. My own policy failed me when Berkshire went up double-digits on St. George's early. I left to see the second half of Rivers vs. St. Luke's, and when that ended, came back to find the Dragons had completed their own come-from-behind victory.
That's a long way of me saying: I didn't see everything this weekend. But I watched a lot, and it's time to empty the notebook. Regardless of the points she scored or future college level of play — if a player made a significant impact in my eyes, I wrote her down. Here are my 18 standouts from the 2026 class, listed alphabetically.
