2025 Rivers Holiday Tournament: Full schedule and results

Before prep teams head off for winter break next week, there are holiday tournaments afoot.

The Rivers Holiday Tournament returns this weekend for its 55th edition. One of the marquee events on New England’s prep basketball basketball calendar, this season’s tournament tips off Thursday and ends Saturday.

The festivities tip off when the Rivers girls host MacDuffie on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. before the boys tournament begins after. This year’s boys field includes eight teams, all Class B schools – host Rivers, Brooks, Austin Prep, Governor’s Academy, Beaver Country Day, Frederick Gunn, Pomfret and Proctor.

Rivers won this tournament for a fourth consecutive year last season, topping rival Brooks in the final in what was ultimately a preview of the Class B championship game. Here’s the full schedule for the weekend.
