We’re about to hit arguably the most important stretch of the 2025 college basketball recruiting calendar.
Four evaluation periods – meaning college coaches are permitted to watch potential recruits in person at NCAA certified events – will take place over the next month. The NEPSAC Scholastic Showcases will cover the next two weekends, and the July live periods will include national championships for the various AAU circuits. The recruiting trajectories will soon change for prospects all around the country, especially the rising senior class – many of which will eye commitments later in the summer and into the fall. Before then, it’s a good time for a quick check-in. There have been various recruiting developments around New England in the last couple months. Some prospects have had meteoric stock-rising spring seasons that warrant further acknowledgement, other top recruits are starting to set up official visits and there have even been a few early commitments.
Here are six takeaways from the latest in recruiting around the region.
