There were a lot of reasons why Putnam Science won 33 consecutive games en route to winning the national prep championship this winter. Parrish Edmond was certainly one of them.
Edmond (Norwalk, Conn.), a 6-foot-5 wing, became a fixture in the Mustangs’ starting lineup as he made a consistent impact on both ends of the court throughout the winter. His season stats don’t necessarily jump off the page – he averaged eight points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal per game this season – but that’s because he played in 16 minutes per game as part of Putnam’s five-in, five-out system in which no player typically plays more than 20 minutes.
The high-flying Edmond is one of the most athletic players in the region with a clearly bright future ahead of him. He's currently playing AAU this spring and summer with the New York-based City Rocks, and he'll again be a critical piece for Putnam this upcoming winter as one of the most intriguing Class of 2026 prospects from New England.
We caught up with Putnam head coach Tom Espinosa to break down Edmond’s game.
