The Worcester Academy girls team searched for answers back on Nov. 22. In the immediate aftermath of a 74-37 loss to Tilton, solutions weren’t apparent to the heap of problems before them.
They just knew they never wanted to have that feeling again.
“We could have easily folded there, but I think it shows who was on our team,” said senior guard Saige Youngberg. “We had a bunch of girls who were like, ‘This is not how our season is going to go.’”
It took time, but the group began to enjoy the fruits of its labor. Only months later did they earn the most savory reward of all.
