
The MIAA state tournament always throws some curveballs into my perception of the state hierarchy. This year was no exception.
Our top-ranked team entering the playoffs lost in the Div. 3 semifinals. With the No. 1 ranking up for grabs, two schools — championship winners Medfield and Wachusett — made strong cases for the spot.
Elsewhere in these rankings includes one team making a dramatic return following a semifinal run, and one team making its debut in the last list of the season. We'll also take a quick look at the talent graduating and which squads should contend in 2025-26.
