History could be made in this year’s MIAA Division 2 boys basketball state tournament.
Malden Catholic is looking to become the first team to win a fourth consecutive state championship since Charlestown did it from 2000-03. The Lancers are the No. 1 seed in their quest for a four-peat after an 18-1 regular season. They’re followed by Mansfield at No. 2, Pope Francis at No. 3 and Oliver Ames at No. 4.
A state champion will be crowned the weekend of March 14-16.
