
The NEPSAC boys basketball quarterfinals are in the books.
Sixteen games were played on Wednesday across classes AAA to B, and there weren’t a ton of surprises. The higher seed won in 13 of the 16 matchups, and two of the three upsets were by the No. 5 seed. Eleven games were decided by double digits, but there were a handful of exciting finishes to watch.
Saturday’s semifinals are set, and there are some really juicy matchups on the slate. But before then, there was a lot to unpack from Wednesday’s quarterfinals. I watched as many streams as I could, and it was certainly impossible to catch everything with as many as seven games happening simultaneously – seriously, can we get Scott Hanson to host a NEPSAC playoff RedZone show? – but I have a ton of notes, observations and top performers to share.
