As the calendar soon turns to February,, the NEPSAC playoff picture is starting to become clearer. With that, players from around the region are producing big performances to lead their teams into the hunt for March basketball.
One of them is Sam Hughes, who leads our boys prep 5 Stars of the Week after leading upstart Dexter Southfield to a pair of wins last week. Dexter is now 11-4 overall with an 8-3 mark in Class A under first-year head coach Matt Droney, and in position to make its first Class A playoff appearance. Hughes has been at the head of that charge.
