The largest early-season event on the New England prep basketball calendar is here.
The Zero Gravity Prep Classic will bring dozens of teams – mostly from New England and some from outside the region – to the Dana Barros Basketball Club in Stoughton, Mass., this weekend. From Friday to Sunday, the courts will be buzzing all day with games playing simultaneously. There are 57 games slated for this year’s event.
Some of the best teams from the region – including nine of the 10 teams in our latest NEPSAC power rankings – will be participating, including a handful playing twice. Several other programs are starting their seasons at the Prep Classic. Many of the region’s premier stars will be showcasing their talents. If you’re a local basketball fan, it would be smart to get to Stoughton at some point this weekend.
Personally, I’m excited to attend my first Prep Classic, and there are a handful of games I’m stoked to watch. Here are five matchups that are going to be must-see this weekend.
