DEDHAM, Mass. — About a week after Lambros Papalambros accepted the head-coaching job at Noble & Greenough in April, he met with his new team for the first time. Inside their film room, he felt the culture start to shift.
After another discouraging season, Nobles needed a fresh start. Papalambros sensed that they were ready to turn the page, re-energized for a new chapter. Their eyes were locked in on him. They were attentive, actively listening and asking questions.
“I said, ‘Hold up, this isn’t the rag tag group I was told about from people outside Nobles,’” Papalambros said.
“I could see that they were hungry, I could see they wanted to win. They just needed some direction. And that’s why I’ve taken it even more personal. Because I don’t want to let them down.”
