And then there were four.
AJ Dybantsa, the Brockton, Mass., native and No. 1 recruit in the 2025 class, took one step closer to making his highly-anticipated college decision on Wednesday as he trimmed his finalists to four schools: BYU, Alabama, Kansas and North Carolina.
Dybantsa took official visits to five schools in the fall, and cut three schools from the seven finalists he had prior to this update: Kansas State, Baylor and Auburn. Kansas State’s exclusion comes as somewhat of a surprise after head coach Jerome Tang and his staff made the trip to Boston last month to watch Dybansta’s homecoming game at Emmanuel College.
It’s unclear when Dybantsa will make his decision, but it could come soon. After initially saying he’d make his decision in February, Dybantsa said last month that it could come sooner.
