College basketball season is almost upon us.
After last year's record-setting national buzz, the sport is in a great place. That includes New England, where several schools are routinely in the March Madness hunt.
Sure, UConn is the resident powerhouse and a national championship frontrunner. But Fairfield, Sacred Heat, Maine and Holy Cross all punched tickets to the NCAA Tournament last season, and even more schools contended for conference championships.
