WINDSOR, Conn. — The NEPSAC girls basketball scholastic showcase, held at Loomis Chaffee from June 13-15, placed some of New England's elite talent under the microscope as they chase goals to play in college.
During this "live period" event, college coaches were allowed to watch players in person, and more than 100 made the trip. The showcase also provided some early summer reps for NEPSAC programs. Several impact transfers are joining the conference and made their presence felt early
I watched 11 total games involving 14 teams between the Thursday and Friday portions of the showcase. I typically stayed for full games when I could. Though that means I sacrifice some of the quantity of players I see, I believe it helps me paint a more accurate, higher-quality picture of their overall performance.
